The problem

Buying groceries for a household means a trip to the market and a second to the supermarket, and a phone call for anything delivered. The business wanted one place where a customer could order the week's shopping from a phone, know what delivery would cost and when it would arrive, and reorder the same basket next week.

What we did

We built a supermarket-style storefront in the shop's greens: a wide search, departments, a deals banner and rows of products that slide sideways, each with an Add button. Behind it are a basket and checkout with delivery zones and time slots, order tracking, reviews, and a dashboard for the owners. It needs no paid services to run and was built to be light on mobile data.

What we built

  1. 1Storefront & departmentsThirteen departments, hot deals, combo packs, search, product pages with reviews, and rails of products that scroll sideways.
  2. 2Basket, checkout & deliveryDelivery zones, a chosen delivery day and time slot, a minimum order, free delivery above a threshold, and Mobile Money or cash on delivery.
  3. 3Cook Tonight & Buy AgainUgandan recipes where one tap adds every ingredient to the basket, and one-tap reordering of a past order at today's prices.
  4. 4Admin dashboardProducts, prices, stock, orders, delivery slots and requests from businesses, managed by the owners.
  5. 5Supply for businessesA services section for restaurants, hotels, schools, offices and events, with a quote form that lands in the dashboard.
  6. 6Data saverA switch that hides product photographs to save a customer's mobile data, and a WhatsApp button on every page.
